The full title of the work by William Makepeace Thackeray is The history of Henry Esmonda popular historical novel published in 1852, but set in the reign of Queen Anne (1702-1714). It  was responsible for rekindling interest in the architecture and furniture-styles of that period, although the 'revived' Queen Anne style was often very different from the original.
