"I was sitting in the Flore watching the tourists trying to spot Sartre"
Jean-Paul Sartre (um 1950)

The Café de Flore in Paris has enjoyed many intellectual visitors over the years, including the French philosopher Jean-Paul Charles Aymard Sartre (1905-1980).

Inside, the Flore retains a classic art deco interior, with all red seating, mirrors and mahogany wood. It was where Sartre would meet feminist author and social theorist Simone de Beauvoir to discuss existentlaiism theories over a drink.

Sartre was and still is, renowned for his thinking and also held the titles of novelist, playwright, screenwriter and political activist to name a few.
