"he bought a little Vuillard off me"

French painter and printmaker Jean-Édouard Vuillard (1868–1940) was a member of the Nabis movement - a group of Post-Impressionist avant-garde artists who created pieces which synthesized or combined their personal feelings about their subject and the outward appearance of natural forms, paying particular attention to the colour, form and lines of their subject matter.Vuillard focused mainly on recreating streets, gardens and interiors in soft blurred colours.
