"it's like a Degas or a Bonnard, I tried to explain"
Another French artist and one of the founders of the Impressionist Movement, Edgar Degas (1834-1917), created paintings, sculpture, prints and drawings.
He also produced a collection of female nude pieces and various portraits.
Fellow Frenchman Pierre Bonnard
(1867-1947) meanwhile, was a founding member of Les Nabis and used vibrant colour in his work. He drew before recreating his subjects on canvas with paint.
