The Garden House riot was an infamous student protest which took place at the Garden House Hotel in Cambridge on Friday, February 13, 1970. Some of the students involved were deported and many arrests were made amongst the hundreds of protestors.

The cause? A 'Greek week' organised by the Greek Tourist Board. This sparked rebellion against the right wing Greek military junta of 1967–1974, also known as 'The Regime of the Colonels'.
