"I have not seen my mother this long time, and it lies upon my conscience, for it's something to be loved as she loves her prodigal son."
Jesus Christ told the story of the Prodigal Son. The parable can be found in the Gospel of Luke, and it is considered to be the final story of the “Lost” Parables, following the Parable of the Lost Sheep and the Parable of the Lost Coin.

The Prodigal Son leaves home to become a wastrel, but when he finally returns home, chastened and penitent, he is welcomed by his father.
