It is Wednesday. By Saturday, the world will have met its end. The Apocalyptic Horsemen have been summoned and are preparing for the ride that will usher in Armageddon. At the centre of all this excitement is, as prophesied, the Antichrist – Adam Young, switched as an infant with the wrong baby.

Eleven years on, Armageddon is coming whether Adam knows it or not, and it’s up to him to decide whether the Earth is worth destroying or saving. There to see that he makes the right choice are Aziraphale and Crowley, an angel and demon who have been enemies for so long they’re sort of friends. They rather like Earth, finding it preferable to eternity in either Hell or Heaven.

Of course it won’t be easy to prevent Armageddon when you have holy and unholy hosts breathing down your neck, and Adam the Antichrist does have a job to do. The Horsemen will ride. But paradise might need to be put on hold if the angel and demon, a witch (also professional descendant), a witchfinder private, a painted Jezebel, a witchfinder sergeant and the Them have anything to do about it.

The end of the week draws closer as Heaven and Hell gear up for the ultimate showdown in Adam’s home town. But will it be the End of Days?
