Gulliver's Travels (1726) by Jonathan Swift tells the story of Gulliver's many adventures. Perhaps the most famous of these is his voyage to Lilliput, a land populated by people approximately six inches high. Gulliver awakes on Lilliput to find that he has been taken prisoner by the Lilliputians, tied down by hundreds of tiny ropes.
