Napoleon Bonaparte was an important French military leader and ruler in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. He led his troops in numerous successful campaigns, and is known for his many theories on warcraft. One of his most famous sayings is "an army marches on its stomach", meaning that it is important to feed your soldiers well.  He was finally defeated by the Duke of Wellington at the Battle of Waterloo.
