Queen Ingrid (1910-2000) was a Swedish princess, who became queen consort in Denmark when her husband, Danish Crown Prince Frederick, became King Frederick IX. She was the daughter of King Gustaf VI Adolf of Sweden and his first wife, Princess Margaret of Connaught, and a great-granddaughter of British Queen Victoria.
Jean Malaurie is a French ethnologist, geographer and writer, particularly interested in the Polar areas. He conducted his first expedition to Greenland in 1950, and since then has spent many years exploring Greenland and Siberia and representing Polar interests in Europe. He was the first European to reach the North Geomagnetic Pole, and the founder and a long-term director of the State Polar Academy in St. Petersburg.
