Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières) is a humanitarian and medical organization created by a group of French doctors and journalists in 1971. The organization is active in more than 60 countries, providing assistance for people impacted by "armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters". MSF won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999.
