Long Island, NY
Long Island is an island situated to the east of Manhattan in New York. It consists of two counties that are home to about 1,700,000 people. This huge number of residents makes it the most populated island in the United States and the 17th most populated island in the world. Long Island has a subtropical climate consisting of hot, humid summers and cold, wet winters that average about 30 inches of snow every year.
