Herakles - also known as Hercules - is a heroic figure from Greek mythology. He was given a quest by Eurystheus to steal some of the golden apples from the Garden of the Hesperides. In one version of the tale he tricks Atlas into stealing the apples for him, and in another he slays the dragon Ladon in order to steal the apples. This is known as the eleventh of the Twelve Labours of Hercules
