Thomas Aquinas was a 13th century Dominican priest, and an influential philosopher and theologian, particularly in the areas of ethics, natural law and political theory. Aquinas means ‘of Aquino,’ which was his birth place. Aquinas is considered by the Catholic Church to be its greatest theologian and a perfect model for those studying to be a priest.
