"light me a candle at Marie Laveau's grave"

Marie Laveau was a woman who practiced voodoo in New Orleans. She was born in 1801 and died when she was 80 years old. She was never a slave because she was born free. Few people know that Marie Laveau had a daughter with the same name. Many people flock to her grave to light a candle and pay respect.
