Turner's The Fighting Temeraire
The Fighting Temeraire, or more fully The Fighting Temeraire tugged to her last Berth to be broken up, 1838, is a famous oil painting by the English Romantic painter J. M. W. Turner (c.1775–1851).
HMS Temeraire was a British navy warship that had served at the Battle of Trafalgar. The painting now hangs in the National Gallery in London; in 2005 it was voted the greatest painting in any British museum.
