The Sabarmutti River (also spelled Sabarmati) runs through western India, mostly in the state of Gujarat.  It is around 371km long and empties into the Gulf of Khambhat, an inlet of the Arabian Sea.  The cities of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar stand on the backs of the Sabarmati, as does Mahatma Ghandi's Sabarmati Ashram.
