Page 95. " Where's Brighton Beach? "

Brighton Beach is a seaside neighbourhood in Brooklyn, New York, located between Coney Island to the west and Manhattan Beach to the east. Originally developed as a beach resort in 1868, Brighton Beach has grown into a densely populated residential community. The large number of Jewish immigrants from the former Soviet Union, particularly from the Ukraine city of Odessa, led to the neighborhood nickname “Little Odessa”.
