The Dead Sea is located between Israel and Jordan. At 423 metres below sea level, is the lowest point on the Earth’s surface. It is 67 kilometres long and 18 kilometres wide at its widest point. The Dead Sea is one of the saltiest bodies of water in the world, which creates a sublime floating experience.

Judaism holds that the Dead Sea is where some of the cities of the Old Testament were located, and where King David, the second king of Israel, hid from his predecessor Saul.

The Dead Sea was one of the world's first health resorts, enjoyed by Herod the Great, and its salt and minerals are still used in cosmetics and herbal remedies today.
