Established in 1894, the Lahore Museum is located on The Mall in Lahore. It holds a collection of paintings dating back to the Mughal, Sikh and British eras, as well as examples of traditional architecture and collections of pottery, musical instruments, jewellery, textiles and weapons. Notably, Rudyard Kipling’s novel Kim was set in and around the Lahore Museum and his father, John Lockwood Kipling, was a curator here.
