b. 27 October 1914  d.  9 November 1953

Welsh poet/writer best know for his poem containing the line 'do not go gentle into that good night' written for his dying father.  His poetry was known for its musicality and its vivid imagery chosen and juxtaposed to emphasize the unity and cycle of life from birth through death and back again through the biological processes.
