Author David Williams has been writing professionally for more than thirty years. Many of his plays have been broadcast by the BBC, and his work has regularly featured in school anthologies and other educational publications. We Never Had It So Good is his first collection of short stories. It is based on his own life growing up in Ashington, Northumberland, which was then 'the largest mining village in Europe'. His novel 11:59, a contemporary thriller also set in the North of England, was published by Wild Wolf in 2010.
