Kat is a freelance English literature tutor and writer from Bristol, although she will be moving to London shortly to do a PhD on the American poet Robert Lowell at the University of Kent. She specialises in modern American poetry, but for fun she’ll often ensconce herself in a Victorian or twentieth-century realist novel. Generally though, she’ll read anything from Beowulf through to a cereal packet. When not reading, she's an obsessive watcher of adaptations of classic crime fiction – she's currently getting through the Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes at quite a lick.
