Roy Adkins is an author, archaeologist and historian. He has written over sixteen books, which have so far been translated into sixteen languages. Most of these books have been co-authored with his wife Lesley, and they cover a wide range of topics, including the 'The Keys of Egypt' (on the race to decipher Egyptian hieroglyphs), 'Trafalgar: The Biography of a Battle' (on the famous battle), 'The War for All the Oceans' (on the war at sea in Napoleonic times), 'Handbook to Life in Ancient Rome' and 'Handbook to Life in Ancient Greece'.
