4.                  Judging and Awarding of Prizes

4.1              The Tournament will be judged by a panel of 3 independent judges, whose names will be published on the Book Drum website.  All prizes will be awarded by the majority decision of these judges.

4.2              Book Drum will announce the winners of the Tournament on 31 May 2011 although Book Drum reserves the right to change this date at any time.  The winners will be contacted directly by email on this date and their names will also be published on the Site.  A list of winners will also be available upon request by sending an email to editor@bookdrum.com.

4.3              Tournament prizes will be awarded to those entrants who, in the majority view of the judges, have produced the best Profiles.  The judges will base their decision on the following criteria: relevance, integrity, conciseness, quality, richness, style, completeness, educational interest and entertainment value.  The decision of the judges will be final and binding on all entrants and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into in relation to the decision making.

4.4              The author of the winning Profile in the Tournament will receive £1,000, the author of the second placed Profile will receive £500, the author of the third placed Profile will receive £250, and the authors of the next placed five profiles will each receive £100.

4.5              Prize winners with UK bank accounts will receive payment by cheque or direct bank transfer to your bank account (details of which shall be notified to Book Drum).  Prize winners with bank accounts outside of the UK will receive payment by international CHAPS transfer.  Payments will be made in Pounds Sterling for conversion by the prize winner’s own bank at their specified rate.  Any charges associated with the transfer (including, without limitation any currency exchange commission and other bank charges) will be deducted from the payment or payable by you.  Book Drum will only make payments to recognised bank accounts.

4.6              Each prize winner is responsible for ensuring they are able to accept the prize as set out and in accordance with these Terms.  In the event that you are unable to do so within 1 (one) month of being notified that you are a prize winner, then Book Drum reserves the right to ask the judges to reallocate the prize.

4.7              There is no alternative to the prizes stated and the prizes are non-transferable and non-negotiable and no part or parts of the prizes may be substituted for other benefits, items or additions of any kind.

4.8              Book Drum reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to ask the prize winners for evidence of identification before Book Drum awards any prize.
